Exactly 47 years ago today, on January 12, 1963, lots in Independence City, St. Catherine were being advertised heavily. At the time, there were only 400 lots left. The cost – £415-465 with two full years to pay. The advantages – central sewer, no pits, central drainage and water, school, churches, playgrounds, modern shops, convenient transportation and more.
