The West Indies Construction Company, WIHCON, broke ground yesterday (September 10, 2015) on its latest multi-million dollar residential development project in Portmore, St Catherine, yesterday. The project will see the construction of 76 two-storey townhouses in a gated community called The Bermonde.
The Bermonde will feature 955 square ft homes, complimented by exceptional community amenities, room for expansion and water storage capable of holding a four-day supply of water. WIHCON, however, has upped the ante in local residential development yet again by partnering with the Jamaica Public Service Co (JPSCo) to give some additional meaning to the term ‘Sunshine City’.
The Bermonde will be Portmore’s first residential community that is powered by sustainable energy. Each home is outfitted with solar energy panels and solar water heaters.
